BGJHS football season starts off on a good note!

New stadium, new players, new season, BGJHS football!

Bowling Green Junior High School had a good kickoff to the season against Drakes Creek at the new stadium at Bowling Green High school on August 21, 2021.

The field is made of turf. The end zones read “PURPLES” . The word “Purples” is in purple and outlined in gold. BGJHS football team had the opportunity to be the first team to play at the new stadium. 7th grade played at 5:30 and 8th grade played 6:30.

“Felt like a privilege,” said 8th grade linemen Alex Johnson.
The First game on the field, the 7th grade Purples came out on top against the Gators 30-0.

During the 8th grade game, Bowling Green’s starting quarterback Trevy Barber led Bowling Green in points with 3 scrambled touchdowns. Also, Alex blocked really well for their RB (running back) Logan Johnson to score.

The 8th grade Purples came out on top against the Gators, the final score came out to be 44-6.
